The two year course is organized into Six terms:
In the first year (first three terms), students gain knowledge in the disciplines of management through twenty four rigorous courses. All the academic courses require case studies, course projects and research by students, to expose them to the latest business practices.
The rigor of academics in the first year culminates with the mandatory Summer Project. The six-week project offers the student an opportunity to experience management practices through live projects in the industry.
In the two trimesters following the summer project, the programme prepares the student to pursue the management discipline of his choice in addition to core courses. Students can opt to specialize in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Production and Operations Management or Human Resource Management.
Unique to the PGDM programme at SICOMS is the mandatory, field-based Capstone/consulting project, which will be completed between the fourth and sixth trimesters. Through the Capstone project, students develop critical skills and valuable contacts that will enhance their career opportunities. |
